Mumbai: Small screen actor Nakuul Mehta and his wife Jankee have backed out of celebrity couple dance reality show "Nach Baliye 6" after the latter suffered a knee injury.
The incident happened when Jankee was returning from her show in Hongkong. She slipped and fell on the escalator. The couple, who had already shot for a promotional shoot, had to back out after Jankee was advised bed rest for eight weeks.
When approached, a source from the production house confirmed that they are not participating in the show.
Other celebrity couples, who are participating in the show, are Gurmeet Chaudhary-Debina Bannerjee, Kanika Maheshwari-Ankur Ghai, Amrapali Gupta-Yash Sinha, Raju Srivastav-Shikha, Kiku Sharda-Priyanka, Ripudaman Handa-Shivangi, Ridhi Dogra-Raqesh Bapat and Rithvik Dhanjani-Asha Negi.
To be judged by actress Shilpa Shetty, director Sajid Khan and choreographer Terence Lewis, "Nach Baliye 6" will go on air in November on Star Plus.
