Mumbai, Feb 10: "Murder" and "Murder 2" were awarded A-certificate by the censor board because of its bold content, but "Murder 3" is the first in the franchise to get an U/A certification and director Vishesh Bhatt is happy that his debut film has been cleared without any alteration.
"I was extremely happy with the censor board that they saw the intention and my approach towards my film. This is the first time that 'Murder' franchise has got a U/A certificate. I didn't have to alter anything not a single scene," Vishesh, son of filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt, told IANS.
"Murder 3" is produced by Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt owned Vishesh Films, which faced problems with the censor board for "Murder" and "Murder 2" for its content, especially for the television viewing.
Vishesh said: "Yes, we had a problem, but I feel more than the bold and intimate scenes, it was because of the violence in it."
Featuring Randeep Hooda, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sarah Loren, "Murder 3" will hit screens Feb 15, a day after Valentine's Day.
Vishesh is going through mixed feelings.
"I am excited because it's a good story and I am nervous because it's my debut film... The feeling is different," he said, adding that a whole lot of strangers in a room "will be judging my film".
