New Delhi: Sunny Deol who has till now been seen in almost similar kind of roles is really going to surprise you with his latest 'pandit avatar' in 'Mohalla Assi'. While playing the role of well-read pandit, Sunny is seen using cuss words in every sentence and that too effortlessly.
Not only Sunny, but our 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' sanskaari bahu Sakshi Tanwar will also be seen abusing in the film. Director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi's 'Mohalla Assi' starring Sunny Deol and Sakshi Tanwar is creating ripples in media much before its release. With its trailer getting leaked online, the movie has already created much hype among the youngsters, as it shows the never-seen before part of Kashi - the divine city of Benaras.
The film throws light on the dark side of the this holy city, which is influenced by drugs, money and sex. "Sunny Deol is playing a poor Brahmin who is a Sanskrit teacher. He is extremely upset with foreigners who damage the Benaras ghats by smoking 'ganja' and 'bhang'. While we see Benaras in sacred light, it's not the same for them," reveals the director
The film that is based on Kashi Nath Singh's book 'Kaasi ka Assi' was earlier scheduled to release in 2012 but got delayed as Tiwari got involved in several other projects including the upcoming 'Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho'. The film also stars Ravi Kishan, Saurabh Shukla and Mukesh Tiwari in pivotal roles and will be releasing in October-November this year.
