New Delhi, Jul 24: Veteran actor Manoj Kumar underwent successful gall bladder surgery Wednesday morning, which also happened to be his birthday, at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, a doctor said.
"The surgery went for an hour and it went off well. He is back in the room," Ram Narain, executive director at the hospital, told IANS.
The actor complained of pain and was admitted to the hospital July 17.
The seasoned actor, renamed as "Mr Bharat Kumar" for having acted and directed movies based on the theme of patriotism, is known for his films Hariyali Aur Raasta, Who Kaun Thi, Himalaya Ki God Mein, Do Badan, Upkar, Patthar Ke Sanam, Neel Kamal, Purab Aur Paschim, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Kranti to name a few.
