Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpai is angry with Kamaal Rasheed Khan these days.
Kamaal, or KRK as he prefers calling himself, has claimed rights to the title of Manoj's upcoming film, the Prakash Jha- directed political drama Raajneeti. KRK clearly has nothing better to do these days. After his much-hyped Deshdrohi , he has tried staying in the news with Bigg Boss as well as repeated announcements of a sequel to Deshdrohi . No one, however, has been taking him seriously.
What one fails to fathom, though, is why an accomplished actor like Manoj should be so worked up in ridiculing KRK's claim to the title of Raajneeti .
Director Jha, after all, has chosen to ignore KRK and so have Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn and Nana Patekar — the film's other stars, who have hogged more limelight than Manoj in the pre- release publicity hype of Raajneeti.
Come to think of it, maybe that's the reason why Manoj has decided to go after KRK. Hardly enjoying any footage in the Raajneeti promos, KRK- bashing, it seems, is Manoj's way of getting into the limelight before the movie's release.
For the record, Manoj says: “ Some people have claimed that the title Raajneeti is theirs. And they had not done anything about it for so long but suddenly stood up as the release of the film approached. Do I need to say more about it? Actually everyone wants to watch the film and hence it is gathering controversy!”
KRK's ‘ objection' over Jha's film being called Raajneeti is because the film reportedly shows Sonia Gandhi in a poor light. At least, that's what KRK said in a recent interview.
