Bangalore: The legendary singer Manna Dey's demise on Thursday morning left the entire nation in a state of shock. The funeral and the crematory ceremony in Bangalore was followed later in the day, which marked the attendance of few Kannada stars. Dey's body was kept at Ravindra Kalakshethra till 12.30 p.m. where West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee paid tribute to him followed by his fans, friends and relatives.Later he was taken to Bangalore's Hebbal crematorium where his body was reduced to ashes.Though none of the Bollywood stars who worked with the veteran were able to make it to the ceremony but all expressed their feeling on social networking sites.Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, noted Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt, Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar, singer Sunidhi Chauhan, actor Manoj Bajpayee was among others who condoled over the loss of a legendary singer.Manna Dey was admitted in the ICU a few days ago for treatment for respiratory problems and renal failure.
