Jaipur, Dec 8: Bollywood hottie Malaika Arora Khan had to face the force of law on Monday  night, as a case under Noise Act and violation of Sec 144 was registered against her for performing "Munni Badnaam Huyi" number in Jaipur's Clarks Amer Hotel, India TV correspondent Sangeeta Pranavendra reported.

The hotel falls under the Silence Zone, and no loud noise is permitted in the place after 10 pm as per Supreme Court's order.

Malaika was performing the hot number Munni Badnaam Huyi at the wedding of an NRI's son.

After local residents complained to police, Jaipur policemen swooped down on the hotel and stopped Malaika's dance. Police first tried to persuade the hosts to stop the loud music blaring from the louspeakers, but when they resisted, police seized the music systems.

The security manager of the hotel did not allow the police to enter the premises for nearly an hour, said Suryavir Singh, In-charge of Jawahar Circle police station. Several guests, in an inebriated state, misbehaved with the policemen, he alleged.

However K C Ajmera, general manager of Clarks Amer Hotel says, the music system was closed down at 10 pm itself. Police says, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg in Jaipur  is a silence zone and loud music and fireworks are prohibited here.

Bollywood actors Bobby Deol, Neha Dhupia, Aditya Pancholi, Riteish Deshmukh, Gulshan Grover, Jacqueline Fernandez, musician Lalit Pandit  and Sanjay Kapoor have been named in the First Information Report along with Malaika Arora Khan.
