Mumbai, Jun 25: Actress Huma Qureshi, who is part of a short film, says there is always a pressure while making such movies. 'Shorts' is a compilation of short films helmed by five directors- Neeraj Ghaywan, Vasan Bala, Anubhuti Kashyap (Anurag Kashyap's sister), Shlok Sharma and Gitanjali Rao. "Feature and short films have their own dedicated commitments.

There is always a pressure while making a short film as within 10-15 minutes one has to tell the story, journey of the characters and also move the audience. To portray your idea in a short film is a challenge," Huma told reporters here yesterday.

Huma is a part of director Shlok Sharma's short film 'Hidden Cricket'. They started working on the film while making 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. The film, co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18, has been released on YouTube. "We have not made this film for box office. The idea is to create new kind of films, cinema, new breed of actors, writers, directors who have new way of looking at films," Huma said.

Shlok insisted that Huma did the film without wearing make-up, an idea that excited the actress. The five short films - 'Hidden Cricket', 'Geek Out', 'Chai', 'Moi Murjani', and 'Epiphany' hinge on various aspects
of India as a core theme.

'Shorts' features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadda, Satya Anand, Vineet Singh, Preeti Singh, Ratnabali, Bhattacharee, Murari Kumar and Arjun Srivastava among others.

Even actress Richa Chadda is elated to be a part of another short film. "I feel great because the film was made with a lot of effort and hardship. It is awesome that Anurag Kashyap has managed to bring the film on big screen because when short films release they never see light of day," Richa said.

They will reportedly release in theatres on July 12. Meanwhile, Richa is happy with the success of her recent release 'Fukrey'. "I am very happy and enjoying the success. We will throw a success party soon," she added.
