New Delhi: Varun Dhawan has just become the current sensation in Bollywood whose romantic comedy ‘Main Tera Hero' has hit the right chord with the audience and as a result the box office figures are also phenomenal with Rs 22.73 cr in first weekend.
Not only this, the David Dhawan directorial has become the fourth biggest opener after Jai Ho (60.68 cr), Gunday (Rs 43.93 cr) and Ragini MMS 2 (Rs 24.5 cr).
The flick which had a flying start at box office, witnessed a good growth on Saturday but failed to capitalize on Sunday, thanks to Ind-SL T20 World Cup grand finale which played a spoilsport.
“MainTeraHero Fri 6.60 cr, Sat 8.03 cr, Sun 8.10 cr. Total: Rs 22.73 cr nett. India biz...”, confirmed trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.
Main Tera Hero which also stars Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D' Cruz is expected to recover its production cost of Rs 40 cr by first week. Moreover, it may also cross Rs 50 cr mark easily by second weekend.
