Mumbai, Apr 20: The new item boy in Bollywood, Taaha Shah, who will be seen gyrating to the latest 'mutton' song in Y-Films' fresh offering 'Luv Ka The End' says he did not have any apprehensions doing the dance number but felt slightly nervous.
Taaha will be seen in a 'ghagra-choli' for the 'mutton' item song giving a tought fight to Malaika Arora Khan and Katrina Kaif, who performed sizzling numbers 'Munni Badnam Hui' and 'Sheila Ki Jawani' in their films recently.
"When I was asked to do this item song I had no apprehensions about the song...as I had no other option. I think while getting ready for the shot for the first time I was nervous but after that when I wore the costume..got into the whole feel. I was fine and impressed by myself," Taaha told PTI.
The lyrics of the song - 'Mera Jism Jism Mera Badan Badan Main Hoon Taja Mutton Mutton..' have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya of 'Emotional Atyachar' from 'Dev D'.
When asked how the transition from man to woman was, Taaha said, "The item boy performance is a revolution. We are trying to do something different. We usually call girls chicks and babes, now with such a song girls will become bolder and call guys as 'mutton'. It was a different experience all together for me. I think everyone will enjoy this."
"It took me two hours to put on the make up. Wearing ghagra choli was easy and comfortable. I think for me the transition from woman to man again was more difficult," Taaha said.
Directed by Bumpy, 'Luv Ka The End', an anti-romantic-comedy, stars newbies Shraddha Kapoor and Taaha in lead roles. The film will be the first production of Y-Films, a subsidiary of Yash Raj Films.
The first film to be releasing under the banner of Y-Films 'Luv Ka The End' is headed by Ashish Patil, former head of youth music channel MTV in India and will release on May 6. PTI
