Mumbai: Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar says that Indians should be proud of his Fashion star Priyanka Chopra for representing the country at the international platform.
"We should be proud of Priyanka Chopra because of her achievements. She has put India on the global platform," the director told IANS.
His next project with the actress, who is currently seen in American TV series Quantico, is Madamji.
"The film is extremely close to me because of the kind of subject it has. Even for Priyanka, Madamji is very important as she loves the subject of the film and is very excited about it; just like I am," said the director.
Also clarifying about the delay, he said that the Dil Dhadakne Do actress is busy shooting other projects.
"I am looking for a 60-day schedule for the film. Once we both are free, we will start shooting."
For now, the Heroine director is busy promoting his forthcoming movie Calendar Girls, set to release on September 25.
