Now, from the point of his fan there would be less to criticise knowing that it's a Rajinikanth flick, which has only one rule that there is no rule.

He is a ‘superstar Rajinikanth' and the fact that he is in the flick, is supreme. Here he is a courageous warrior Rana who has some hidden plans in mind. He befriends with Kotaipattinam king Mahendra's (Jackie Shroff) son Veera Mahendra (Aadi) and using their army he conquers numerous kingdoms.

This wins Mahendra's confidence and Rana asks him now to flex his muscles by declaring a war against a bigger dynasty Pandya led by king Rishikodagan (Nassar), using their own men who are trapped in Kotaipattinam.
