New Delhi: Salman Khan's Kick has finally left behind Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express' lifetime collection of Rs 226.70 cr on its third Tuesday by collecting Rs 226.98 cr nett to become the third biggest grosser of all time in India.


The Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial as expected is witnessing a sharp decline in its third weekdays and yesterday it earned merely Rs 1.38 cr nett in India.

“Kick [Wk 3] Fri 1.97 cr, Sat 2.94 cr, Sun 3.92 cr, Mon 1.69 cr, Tue 1.35 cr. Grand total: Rs 226.98 cr nett. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

Meanwhile, by third weekend the flick at overseas garnered impressive over Rs 67.34 cr taking the worldwide collection to Rs 287.36 cr nett (including India Rs 220.02 cr) in seventeen days.

“OVERSEAS: #Kick total *after Weekend 3*: approx $ 11 million + [Rs 67.34 cr+]. Salman Khan's HIGHEST GROSSER in intl markets”, wrote Taran Adarsh.

While actual international figures for the third weekday are awaited, it's expected that the flick has crossed the Rs 300 cr mark worldwide quite easily.

Last week's release ‘Entertainment' starring Akshay Kumar, after a brilliant knock in weekend (Rs 36.69 cr) is enjoying rock-steady weekdays. By Tuesday, the Sajid-Farhad's directorial debut made Rs 48.82 cr nett in India.

“Entertainment is ROCK-STEADY on Tue too. Fri 11.16 cr, Sat 11.53 cr, Sun 14 cr, Mon 7 cr, Tue 5.13 cr. Total: Rs 48.82 cr nett. India biz”, confirms Adarsh.

Both Kick and Entertainment are going to receive a tough competition from this week's highly anticipated ‘Singham Returns'. Being an Independence Day release, the Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor starrer action drama is going to open huge at box office.

While Kick is completely going to get overshadowed this Friday, Entertainment is going to survive for its comedy content and for being just one week old.

Moreover, Kick won't be able to surpass Hrithik Roshan ‘Krrishh 3' (Rs 240.50 cr) and Aamir Khan's ‘Dhoom 3' (Rs 280.25 cr) lifetime collection and will remain at no. 3 spot.
