Mumbai: Sushil Kumar, who won Rs five crore in the previous season of reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC), will now put on his dancing shoes for ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa'-5.
He will be the 13th contestant on the dance show. Earlier during a press conference of the show, judges - Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo D'Souza had said the 13th contestant will be a surprise package and that he will be a commoner, who became a sensation overnight.
“He will be the 13th contestant on the show as a commoner. We wanted someone who is not a celebrity but has become popular by some or the other way. He won KBC and that reason was enough to have him on the show,” sources told PTI. “He will perform like another contestant,” the source added.
The other contestant on the show include Former Sri Lankan player Sanath Jayasuriya, Ghazal singer Talat Aziz, child actor Darsheel Safari, actress Isha Sharvani, Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, stand up comedian Bharti Singh, TV actors Giaa Manek, Pratyusha Banerjee, Gurmeet Choudhary, Shibani Dandekar and VJ Archana Vijaya.
