Mumbai: Katrina Kaif has come out in defence of her boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor, whose career is going through a rough patch these days, and said that the “dedicated, passionate and focused” actor is sure to bounce back.
Notably, Ranbir Kapoor's last few films - “Besharam”, “Roy” and “Bombay Velvet” - failed to grab eyeballs at the box office.
“His movies not doing well is a sad thing. But he gives his heart and soul for a film. I know it hurts and pains him deeply that maybe he is not able to live up to the expectations and satisfy his audience,” Katrina told PTI.
“He loves his audience... he wants people to love his films... he wants that acceptance from audience. So all this is hurtful to him,” she said.
The 'Phantom' actress further expressed hope that her love Ranbir will make a comeback soon.
“But as an actor, I haven't seen anyone more passionate and focused about his work. It is just a matter of time. Every actor goes through ups and downs. I am sure with his passion, dedication and God's blessing, things will change,” she said.
Interestingly, a few days back, Deepika Padukone had also backed her ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor. She said that Ranbir is a big star and ups & downs are suffered by everyone.

"If the film does well, we all will be equally responsible for it and if it doesn't do well then also we will be equally responsible," Deepika said.
It seems Ranbir is the lucky man here, having both current and ex-girlfriend by his side in this hour of need.
While Katrina is excited for her next movie ‘Baar Baar Dekho' with Sidharth Malhotra, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of ‘Tamasha' in which he stars opposite ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone.
