New Delhi: Comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma recently sparked a controversy after he ended his much popular show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil' abruptly.
While tongues started wagging wondering what could be the reason about CNWK going off air, soon we saw comedian Krushna Abhishek taking over the show as ‘Comedy Nights Live'.
What followed was a war of words between Kapil and Krushna.
It's only been a since CNWK was pulled down, and now Kapil Sharma and his team are back with another show which will be aired on Sony from April 23, 3016.
While the Kapil is quite excited about his new show, he spoke about his on going competition with Krushna and his show.
“I've watched the show, but agar doosro ka show dekhte rahenge toh khud ka show kab karenge? (laughs) Their concept is different too,” Kapil told a leading daily.
He further added, “I want to entertain everyone. We won't be taking digs at Krushna or anyone else. This is not my idea of entertainment.”
On the other hand, Krushna Abhishek revealed that he is not in talking terms with Kapil. He also mentioned how Kapil had invited him to his show, but he declined, saying “I am an actor and cannot be slotted as a stand-up comedian like him. If I am invited to his show, I will need my own space to do my act rather than be one among the 10 people performing. Firstly, you cannot afford me. If you do, I will not make a two-three minutes entry.”
While Kapil later avoided inviting Krushna during the latter's movie promotions, Krushna stated, “Kismat mein yeh nahi pata thi ki woh jis show may mujhe nahi bulayega woh hi show ki kursi main le lunga.”
Let's see if Kapil Sharma is able to recreate his magic with ‘The Kapil Sharma Show' on Sony TV or not.
