Lok Jan Shakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan's son Chirag's Bollywood debut is finally happening.

The mahurat of his film One And Only with Kangna Ranaut is scheduled for Thursday at Madh Island. The Bihar leader  is slated to be present for the launch, says a media report.

One And Only is being directed by Tanveer Khan (who earlier made Deadline: Sirf 24 Ghante) and is produced by Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions

Though the project was announced three years ago, it has taken shape only now.

Says Saxena, "It was delayed because Chirag got busy with his father's political matters. Also, the script kept on undergoing changes. We wanted to be completely satisfied with it."

The film, a love story, will be shot in Mumbai and Nashik on a start-to-finish schedule. It has Chirag paired opposite three actresses.

The project had created a buzz a while back after Kangna's remuneration for the film (rumoured to be about Rs 5 crore) had made the others in the cast do a rethink. Initially, Minissha Lamba and Anjana Sukhani were approached but now Sagarika Ghatge and Neeru Bajwa have been roped in, instead. Kangna will begin shooting from August.

Meanwhile Chirag has shifted base to Mumbai and has been taking acting and diction classes from Vibha Chibber (who played the assistant coach in Chak De! India) besides working out.

He has also chopped off his trademark long, flowing tresses. "His long hair did not go with the character of the film. It was a unanimous decision to have him cut it," adds Saxena who earlier produced Aloo Chaat and Chase.
