New Delhi: Actress Marilyn Monroe hasn't left our memories decades after her death. The trendsetting model turned actress, who lived a grand life, died at the age of 36 due to a drug overdose. Since her death, her persona has been revived in many movies and shows.

It looks like it is Kangana Ranaut's turn to get inspired by her. Reportedly, Kangana will be donning a look taking a cue from Marilyn Monroe in ‘Rangoon.' ‘Rangoon' is a period drama set against the backdrop of World War 2.

Kangana confirmed the news by saying, “Dolly (Ahluwalia) is designing my look. It will have a very vintage feel given that the movie is era-specific. My look will be similar to Marilyn Monroe's style where I will sport waves in my hair and wear deep necked outfits. Since it's a larger than life kind of a role, it will be very glamorous.”

It was already confirmed that Kangana Ranaut will be playing an actress in this movie. She will star along with Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in it. As per sources, Saif Ali Khan will be playing the role of Shahid's mentor in the movie.

Kangana, who will be working with director Vishal Bhardwaj for the first time, seems pretty excited about the project. “I was looking forward to work with Vishalji for the longest. Sometimes you get good directors but not good scripts. Here both are the best. The role that I have in Rangoon is an amazing one.”

Speaking about her interaction with the heroes of the movie she said, “Shahid and I have interacted but I am yet to meet Saif. We will start with our workshop soon for the movie.”

After ‘Rangoon', Kangana will be seen in a biopic of the valiant freedom fighter of India, Rani Lakshmi Bai. “Rani Lakshmi Bai will give me a chance to explore motherhood and her relationship with her adopted son.”

With so many exciting revelations straight from the horse's mouth, we just can't wait to see ‘Rangoon' on the big screen.
