New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan's ‘Sultan' is one project which doesn't ever fail to be in the news. But there hasn't been any confirmation yet on who would be starring opposite Salman in this movie.
However, the grapevine was rife for a really long time that actress Kangana Ranaut will be seen opposite Salman in this action thriller movie. Countless fans of both these stars rejoiced when they heard the news.
Alas, the speculation stopped soon enough when it was revealed that Kangana had declined to work in the movie.
In this case, however, there's maybe more than what meets the eye.

Rumours have it that Kangana refused to be a part of the movie when she learnt that actor Sooraj Pancholi would be involved with it. If you are wondering what issues she has with the one movie old Sooraj, the connections go deep. Kangana dated Sooraj's father, Aditya Pancholi. Salman Khan launched Sooraj by co-producing the movie ‘Hero' which is probably why Kangana thought it would be best for her to maintain a distance from it.
When asked if there was any truth in it, Sooraj told a leading daily, “First of all, I am not in 'Sultan'. I have not been offered a role and there is no question of me doing it. What would I do in a film starring Bhai?”
Answering the question if he would ever work with Kangana, Sooraj said, “All that has nothing to do with me. I am game to work with anyone. In this industry, there are no permanent friendships and fights.”
Well, Sooraj certainly disagrees with these rumours. But he cannot deny that Aditya and Salman are close which again points in the direction that Kangana declined to be a part of ‘Sultan' because of this.
