Mumbai, Dec 21: Bollywood actor John Abraham is reportedly all set to get engaged with investment banker Priya Marwah in April.
The wedding, according to industry buzz, could take place next year, reports Mail Today.
Rumours that John was seeing Priya ever since he broke up with Bipasha Basu were doing the rounds for quite some time now.
The latest buzz gains ground in the wake of John's birthday on December 17, when he turned 39.
John celebrated his special day in Los Angeles along with family and Priya was there by his side, too.
Reports say John and Priya will get engaged in April and then probably fix a date in 2013 for the wedding.
Priya is a US- based investment banker.
She made heads turn when she was spotted with John in a Mumbai five- star hotel a few months ago, shortly after he broke up with Bipasha.
John tried to ignore the media around but the couple ended up getting clicked.
Later, John said Priya was a close friend and that since she did not belong to the film industry, she was uncomfortable posing for cameras.
Ironically, the reason doing the rounds for the John- Bipasha split so far was that he wasn't ready for marriage yet.
Earlier, reports had said Bipasha, 32, was keen on settling down with John — her boyfriend of almost a decade — but the actor was in no mood to commit.
The two stars moved on with their life since then.
After his split with Bipasha, John was quite vocal about his relationship with Bips and on a few TV shows even hinted that he would love to return to her.
But his openly talking about their split reportedly did not go down well with Bipasha.
A turnaround on John's part was noticed when in a recent interview he claimed that he indeed believed in the institution of marriage and was willing to get married soon.
But he refused to talk about the prospective bride.
After his last solo release Force became a hit, John's career is on a revival spree.
His last release, Desi Boyz co- starring Akshay Kumar, may be far from being the blockbuster it was expected to be, but the actor is reportedly flooded with offers.
John is also all set to make his debut as a producer in 2012 with Vicky Donor and also is planning to co- produce Sanjay Gupta's Shootout At Wadala , a prequel to Shootout At Lokhandwala . John essays the character of a don in Gupta's film.
Lined up for John next year are big- ticket releases such as Housefull 2 , Race 2 and I, Me Aur Main .
Dostana 2 and a sequel to Force have also been announced.
