New Delhi: Irrfan Khan has already worked in Hollywood films like ‘A Mighty Heart', ‘The Amazing Spiderman' and ‘Life of Pi' and will soon be seen in ‘Jurassic World'. The international actor is also set to star with Academy Award winner actor Tom Hanks, if everything between the actor and producers work out well.
As reported by a leading daily, the film is being directed by Ron Howard who won an Academy Award for ‘A Beautiful Mind'. The buzz is that the film is titled ‘Inferno' and is based on Dan Brown's novel with the same name. Tom Hanks has played Harvard professor Robert Langdon in earlier two adaptations of Brown's books.
The only problem Irrfan has is his earlier commitment with Shoojit Sircar's ‘Piku.' The National Award winning actor is currently shooting for ‘Piku' and then later in April he will promote the film. ‘Inferno' is expected to go on floors by April, clashing with Piku's promotions.
“I said 'no' but now we're working on the dates. They want three chunks and if we can adjust the first schedule, I should be able to do the film," Irrfan told a leading daily.
When asked if he has met Tom Hanks, Irrfan said no and he only knows him by his work.
Last year, Irrfan also said no to another Hollywood project ‘The Martian'. The film directed by Ridley Scott stars Matt Damon in the lead role. The Bollywood actor denied working in the film because of his commitment to ‘Piku'. "It was a lengthy, pivotal role but I had already committed the dates to Shoojit Sircar for 'Piku'," Irrfan said.
