New Delhi, March 11 : Child actor Avinash Mukherjee, who became famous as Jagya in "Balika Vadhu", has returned to TV with "Sanskaar... Dharohar Apnon Ki" after a gap. He feels that the break allowed his earlier image to fade from the audience's mind.

Before "Balika Vadhu", he used to do small roles in TV shows, but Jagya's character made him famous.

"I took a break of about a year after 'Balika Vadhu'. I got some other offers, but that did not work out. I also wanted a gap after 'Balika...'," said Avinash.

"I feel it is good I took a break because now there won't be over lapping of two images. Audience have got enough time to differentiate between both the characters," added the 15-year-old.

In the new show "Sanskaar... Dharohar Apnon Ki" aired on Colors, he plays a 24-year-old guy.

He said: "The character I am playing is older than me, but that is an actor's life. I took it as a challenge. This is also a challenge for me and I have to pull it off. I have done a lot of home work to make the 24-year-old character look real."

"My character is very interesting. He has a dual personality. He is very selfish and has shades of grey. I have attended many workshops that helped me to get into the skin of the character."

Apart from acting, he loves gyming and bodybuilding. However, right now his class 10th exams are keeping him busy. Once exams are over, he will return to the sets of the show.

Meanwhile, he nurtures big Bollywood dreams.

"Bollywood is my dream. That is where I want to be, but only when the time is right. I have not yet decided the role I want to do, but obviously I would prefer playing the lead," Avinash said and added: "Amitabh Bachchan is my idol. I have seen him. I will meet him when I do a movie with him."
