Bollywood actor Neha Sharma, who is co-starring with serial kisser Emraan Hashmi in Mahesh Bhatt's film Crook says, she is not in favour of serial kissing, reports DNA.
“Well, I am not against kissing on-screen, but I definitely do not want to be written about for the number of kisses I've had on-screen,” she states rather matter-of-factly. And it's for the same reason she's not high on exposing or skin-show too. So, unlike most Bhatt actors, she won't be seen kissing serial kisser Emraan in the film.
Neha maybe a newcomer in Bollywood, but unlike most new entrants, she's neither nervous nor jittery. It is because she's already a star down South, despite having done just two films there, of which her film Chirutha opposite Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja is one of the highest grossers.
Now, Neha hopes to have the same success run in Bollywood too. “I know a lot of people have those expectations from a ‘Bhatt heroine'. But I am not just another Bhatt actor. I want people to also recognise me for my talent and not just looks,” says Neha.
Neha insists that for now Hindi films are her priority.
“I choose films based on the story. Everything else is secondary, but yes, for now I've given my career in the South a backseat.” So, what are the kind of roles she's looking forward to playing here? “The ones that will give me a good scope to perform,” she smiles.
Elaborating, she says, “I hope to get roles that are not just glamourous, but also have some substance.” Not surprisingly on her wish-list are some of the best filmmakers and big banners too.
“I've already made a good start by working with Mahesh Bhatt. I have immense respect for him. I just hope to continue the good work,” adds the Delhi girl, who's moved to Mumbai only recently.
Wasn't she wary of being on her own here? “When you have a family that you know you can always come home too, it just takes care of all your worries. I'm happy that I have their full support and all I'm doing for now is keeping my fingers crossed,” she says.
