New Delhi: Akshay Kumar's ‘Holiday- A Soldier Is Never Off Duty' is ruling box office and within less than two weeks the flick has earned Rs 97.08 cr nett in India.


After an impressive Rs 68.63 cr collection in week 1, the A.R. Murugadoss directorial continued to add more moolah at box office raking in Rs 28.39 cr by second Wednesday of its release.

“Holiday [Week 2] Fri 4.40 cr, Sat 6.34 cr, Sun 8.77 cr, Mon 3.18 cr, Tue 2.97 cr, Wed 2.73 cr. Grand total: Rs 97.08 cr nett. India biz”, tweets film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh.



The flick was least perturbed by last week's releases namely Fugly and Machli Jal Ki Rani Hai among others. But this Friday the much awaited comic caper ‘Humshakals' may steal the show.

The Sajid Khan directorial, which stars Saif Ali Khan, Reteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Esha Gupta, Tamannah in pivotal roles, will enjoy over 2500 screens in India. The number of screens at domestic market could rise while at overseas too has it has wide release with 525 screens in 40 countries.



Holiday, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha, will still enjoy decent number of screens and the footfalls will depend upon the new release.
