New Delhi: It's a mixed weekend at box office as all the old and new releases are enjoying their bit of share. While new releases namely Pizza 3D and Hate Story 2 are capitalizing over their genre of horror and action respectively, the last week's release Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is continuing to wintess good footfalls in theatres.


Hate Story 2 starring Surveen Chawla, Jay Bhanushali and Sushant Singh opened brilliantly considering less number of screens and collected Rs 5.46 cr.

“HateStory2 springs a HUGE surprise at the box-office. Fri Rs 5.46 cr nett. India biz. FANTASTIC!”, tweeted trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

The horror flick starring Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Dipannita Sharma in first two days made mere Rs 1.76 cr nett in India. “Pizza3D Fri 75.03 lacs, Sat 1.01 cr. Total: Rs 1.76 cr nett. India biz”, confirms Adarsh.

The third release of the week ‘Amit Sahni Ki List' with Vir Das in the lead had an even worse start with just Rs 1.59 cr till Saturday.

On the other hand, Alia-Varun's magic is still working at the box office. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania ending its first week run with Rs 53.31 cr nett, is keeping the cash registers ringing at the box office in the second week too.

“HSKD Week 1: Rs 53.31 cr. Week 2: Fri 3.22 cr. Total: Rs 56.53 cr nett. SMASH HIT!”, tweeted Adarsh.

Riteish Deshmukh's ‘Lai Bhaari' is proving to be victorious at box office as till its second Saturday the flick has garnered Rs 20.05 cr nett in India.

"LaiBhaari [Week 2] Fri 1.05 cr, Sat 1.90 cr. Grand total: Rs 20.05 cr. FANTASTIC!”, says Adarsh.
