New Delhi: We all know that the Indian cricket team's star spin bowler Harbhajan Singh has been in a relationship with model turned actress Geeta Basra for a long time now. Naturally, the fans of Bhajji are waiting to see him tie the knot with her.
It shouldn't come as a surprise that Geeta expects the same.
In fact according to the actress, who debuted opposite Emraan Hashmi in ‘Dil Diya Hai', she is getting married to Bhajji on October 29th. A spokesperson close to Geeta told a leading daily, “Geeta and Harbhajan are getting married in Delhi on October 29. It will be a private ceremony with only friends and family.” She also added, “The wedding date had been fixed for March but Harbhajan was busy with the cricketing commitments then, followed by the IPL Geeta too was promoting her film so the date was pushed ahead to October.”
But close friends of Harbhajan Singh disagree.
“Harbhajan and his family have not set a date yet and have not even booked a venue. Even the wedding cards have not been printed,” the source said. He also pointed out that Harbhajan will be at a cricketing camp until October 27 to play the series of India versus South Africa. Adding he said, “He also has another cricket series coming up on November 2. It could happen in December or next year. Nothing is finalised yet.”
Bhajji had accepted that since his cricketing career will last for another three or four years, he would like to settle down. But, if he is rubbishing his wedding reports, the question is does he wish to marry Geeta? Or marry anyone at all?
