New Delhi: The leggy lass Deepika Padukone is once again made it to the top of the charts with the super success of ‘Happy New Year'. The actress has five flicks under her belt, which have marched into the Rs 100 cr club.
Recently the Dabangg lady Sonakshi Sinha took away the coveted title from the actress with the success of her Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Holiday- A Soldier is Never Off Duty'. But later she shared the title of ‘Rs 100 cr queen of Bollywood' with the Independence Day release ‘Singham Returns' actress Kareena Kapoor Khan who too took the superhit flicks total to five.
But Deepika Padukone tops the chart, who however has similar number of Rs 100 cr movies but with an average (Rs 155 cr) better than Sonakshi and Kareena
Deepika Padukone's Race 2 collected Rs 100.45 cr while her multi-starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani garnered Rs 188.57 cr. Her first Rs 200 cr movie Chennai Express opposite Shah Rukh Khan ended its box-office run at Rs 227.13 cr.
Her fourth movie in a row in one year Ram-Leela minted Rs 116.33 cr. And what shall we say for Happy New Year? The movie is already in the elite club and is racing fast to hit the double ton.
Kareena Kapoor (142 cr average) tags herself to Rs 100 cr flicks namely 3 Idiots, Ra. One, Bodyguard, Golmaal 3 and Singham Returns.
Sonakshi Sinha's (average of Rs128 cr) five super hits are Dabangg, Dabangg 2, Rowdy Rathore, Son of Sardar and Holiday.
Priyanka Chopra alongwith Krrish 3, Agneepath, Barfi and Don 2 has four superhit flicks under her belt.
Katrina Kaif too has four flicks to associate herself with namely Bang Bang, Dhoom 3, Jab Tak Hain Jaan and Ek Tha Tiger.
Southern siren Asin is associated with superhit dramas like Ghajini, Housefull 2, Ready and Bol Bachchan.
