New Delhi: ‘Aashiqui 2' actress Shraddha Kapoor is in raptures these days and 2016 has brought on some really good news for the diva.
Shraddha, who is currently busy shooting for Farhan Akhtar's ‘Rock On 2', has also been signed for Mohit Suri's ‘Half Girfriend'.
Based on Chetan Bhagat's novel with the same name, ‘Half Girfriend' is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. And now the releasing date for the movie has been announced. ‘Half Girlfriend' will hit the screens on October 7, 2016.
Trade analyst Komal Nahata took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to announce the realse date, as he tweeted, “Balaji Motion Pictures, Mohit Suri and Chetan Baghat's "Half Girlfriend" will release on 7th October 2016.”
While Shraddha will be seen playing the female lead, there were rumours about Sushant Singh Rajput playing her love interest in the movie. However, recently, Arjun Kapoor was roped in to play the male lead instead of Sushant.
It is for the first time that Shraddha Kapoor will share the screen space with Arjun. Now it would be interesting to see if they will be able to strike a chord together or not.
