After ‘MSG-The Messenger's record breaking success at the box office worldwide, Dera Sacha Sauda Chief, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is reportedly planning its sequel – ‘MSG II'.

The report has been clarified by the Dera Sacha Sauda's chief spokesperson, who stated that the shooting of ‘MSG II' began soon after the release of the original.

It's been said that this sequel will be based on a real incident of the ‘godman' Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh when he tried to set up a relief camp in Rajasthan in order to help the tribals there.

In the film, Dera Sacha Sauda Chief will be seen restoring the law and order situation in Rajasthan and also helping the tribes to get rid of their Mahua addiction. Just like its prequel, this movie too has a social message of how people can get rid of their drug and alcohol addictions.

MSG, which was released in February this year, earned around Rs 150 crore at the worldwide box office. Although the movie was completely trashed by the critics, it was loved by the audience.

MSG invited various controversies including the one regarding its title. The Central Board of Film Certification denied the release of the film initially. The denial was because of the objection to Dera Chief portraying himself as God in the movie.

While the films also faced various protests by Sikh organisations and a ban in Punjab as well for a while, the name of the firm was finally changed from ‘MSG-The Messenger of God' to ‘MSG-The Messenger'.

So after all the controversies that MSG sparked and the records it broke, it would be interesting to see what will happen to the sequel.
