Chennai: Cinematographer-director S.D. Vijay Milton is overwhelmed that Tamil action-drama "Goli Soda" has successfully completed 50 days at the box office. The film has turned out to be the biggest hit of the first quarter of 2014 in Tamil filmdom.
"I'm touched by the love that the audience has showered on this small film. It feels great. In my nearly decade-long career in the Tamil industry, this happens to be my biggest victory. Special thanks to the kids who shouldered this film and made it successful," Milton told IANS.
"Goli Soda", which revolves around the lives of four street urchins, was reportedly made under a budget of Rs.2 crore. It has so far minted over Rs.12 crore and continues to run in cinemas to packed houses.
The sequel to the film is in the offing.
"We'll start working on the sequel towards the end of this year. I had planned to work on the sequel even before the first part released," he added.
Kishore, Sree Ram, Pandi, Murugesh, Imman Annachi and Sujatha Sivakumar played important roles in "Goli Soda".
