Genelia D'Souza will star in Santosh Sivan's next as a Portuguese princess. After flaunting his skills as the cinematographer in Mani Ratnam's Raavan, Santosh Sivan is all set to go on floors with his next directorial venture Urumi, says a media report.
The film will have Genelia D'souza playing the princess of Portugal.
She will be paired opposite South actor Prithviraj.Director Santosh Sivan confirms, “I have signed Genelia and Prithviraj for my next bilingual (Tamil and Malayalam) film Urumi.It is a period film based in the 15th century about a boy who wanted to kill Vasco Da Gama.”
The movie will go on floors in August and will be shot in Malshej Ghat.Talking about the title Urumi Sivan explains, “Urumi is the eight-feet-long flexible sword that is used in Kalari fights.”
