New Delhi: Music is said to be the food for soul. A soulful music is what the audience looks for in a film, something that they could relate to, the tunes which could leave a mark in their heart.

Our film industry has witnessed many music directors composing some great music. However, there are a few, who succeed in making us fall in love with music every time we hear them. One of such music composers was ‘Aadesh Srivastava' who mastered the art of ruling the hearts with his music.

Aadesh left us on September 5, 2015 after loosing a tough battle with cancer. While the entire industry is mourning the death of a talented music director, here we bring you five of his all time favourite songs that would keep him alive in our hearts forever.

Bebasi Dard Ka Aalam from Baabul

A 2006 release ‘Baabul' starred Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Salman Khan, John Abraham and Hema Malini. Directed by Rajiv Chopra, Baabul was a family drama that revolved around a relationship between a father-in-law (Amitabh Bachchan) and his daughter-in-law (Rani Mukherji) after he looses his son.

While the movie puts on the light over the social issue of re-marrying a widow, Aadesh Srivastava's music did wonders in the film, especially in the song ‘Bebasi Dard Ka Aalam'.

Sung by sung by Kunal Ganjawala, the song is filmed on John Abraham, Rani Mukherji and Amitabh Bachchan, where John is seeing convincing Rani of his love.

Aadesh Srivastava's music made the soundtracks the best soundtracks of the year.

Mora Piya from Rajneeti

Prakash Jha's political thriller drama ‘Rajneeti', starring Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar, Manoj Bajpayee and Naseeruddin Shah.

While the film was a hit at the box office, the sound track of the film grabbed the nation's attention as well.

The song ‘Mora Piya' which was sung and composed by Aadesh Srivastava was the best track of the film.

One of the best romantic songs of the year, ‘Mora Piya' was appreciated by one and all. The song even won several awards including the Apsara Awards for Best Male Playback Singer for Aadesh.


Laayi Vi Na Gayi from Chalte Chalte

Aziz Mirza's 2003 release ‘Chalte Chalte' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherji was one of the best films of 2003.

The film focussed on the love story of two completely opposite people and the problems they face in their married life.

The music of the film was given by Jatin-Lalit and Aadesh Srivastava. While all the songs of the film made it a romantic album, the song ‘Laayi Vi Na Gayi' was one the songs ruling the chartbusters that year.

The song was sung by Sukhwinder Singh and was composed by Aadesh Srivastava. Aadesh's music did wonders to the song and won him appreciation and several awards for the film as well.


Sona Sona from Major Saab

Remember megastar Amitabh Bachchan as the strict yet dashing Major Jasbir Singh Rana from Major Saab, a 1998 release.

The film was helmed by Tinnu Anand and also featured Ajay Devgn, Sonali Bendre and Aashish Vidyarthi.

While the film did a moderate business at the box office, one cannot forget the amazing performance of Big B in the song ‘Sona Sona'.

Sung by Sudesh Bhonsle, the music of the song was given Aadesh Srivastava and the song became the topping numbers of the year.

The song became one of the most popular songs from the film and is even heard playing in several weddings as well.
 

Shava Shava from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Helmed by Karan Johar, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor, was one of the blockbuster movies of 2001.

While the music for the film was given by Jatin Lalit, Sandesh Shandilya and Aadesh Shrivastava, K3G managed to broke all the records with its magnificent opening.

However, Aadesh worked on just one song in the movie – ‘Shava Shava'. A perfect dance number, the song was filmed on Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherji.

Though the film had several amazing tracks, but Aadesh Srivastava managed to leave his mark with ‘Shava Shava'.
