Mumbai, Nov 24: Yesteryears' screen villain Pran was discharged from Lilawati Hospital today after being hospitalized for eight days.
Pran had complained of breathlessness and weakness on Friday last week after which he was rushed to Lilawati hospital for treatment.
The 92-year-old actor is now feeling comfortable, hospital sources said.
Born in Old Delhi's Ballimaran on February 12, 1920, Pran's father Kewal Krishan Sikand was a civil engineer and govt contractor. Pran completed his matriculation from Raza High School, Rampur, and later joined A. Das & Co. in Delhi as an apprentice photographer.
He has two sons Arvind and Sunil and a daughter Pinky.
Pran won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award in 1967, 1969 and 1972 and was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Bhushan in 2001 for his contribution to Indian cinema.
