Kolkata, July 27: European actor Elena Kazan, who was seen in Saif Ali Khan's 'Agent Vinod' in a bit role, will now make a real Bollywood debut in 'Prague' pitted opposite 'Kaaminey boy' Chandan Roy Sanyal bridging the two enchanting and contrasting cities.

Elena, who had first debuted in a Bengali feature film Clerk opposite megastar Prosenjit Chatterjee, told PTI she wanted to make her mark in Indian films, in Bollywood as well as Tollywood.

"In Prague, I am Elena, a sweet, carefree Czech girl, a vivacious girl, who and her Indian lover Chandan from Kolkata (Chandan Roy Sanyal) act as the bridge between the two ancients lands, so much different in smells, colours but retain the same warmth in heart," she said.

"Even for the Ghumsuda track by Ballygrunje band, for which we visited and shot in different parts of Kolkata, including College Street Coffee House and Alipore roads, I felt like the city is growing on you as much as you move around," she recalled about her experience with the two-member band, the name of which was also typically derived from a place in the city.

Also awaiting her big release John Day, opposite Randeep Hooda, Elena said. "I will be an Iranian in this movie."

John Day, directed by Ahishor Soloman,  will be released in September,  a little later after Prague. "I like world cinema, I like Iranian cinema,  I had watched Ritwik Ghatak's Meghe Dhaka Tara which till date remain one of my most favourite films and Ritwik's story telling which talk about displacement of people reminding of Germany situation influenced me a lot," the German-born said.

"I know about the movie. Would love to see the new Meghe Dhaka Tara by Kamaleswar (Mukherjee). Would love to work with him and other young directors if I am intrigued by the script," she said when told about the movie having reference point in Ritwik's 'Jukti Takko Gappo'.
