New Delhi: With this Friday, the 18th of December, Bollywood witnesses the biggest battle of this year. What looked like a great year for B-town, might not end just as well given the clash between the two major movies which is expected to eat each other's share.

While star cast of both the films have asserted that they aren't concerned about the clash, as both movies are different from each other. But, trade gurus have projected that this battle which could have been avoided is unfortunate for both the movies.

Both the movies have established their USP's and garnered loads of attention from moviue goers, and the D-day is finally here.

According to early morning reports, ‘Dilwale' has a clear edge over ‘Bajirao Mastani'. The former is opening in around 3200 theatres while the latter is forced to settle for 2000 only.

Bajirao is struggling to fill the seats with only 30 per cent occupancies in the early shows. It was projected that this historic drama will attract viewers in Maharashtra and Gujarat, but this did not happen too. Even in the western regions, Dilwale has defeated Bajirao Mastani, though the margin is small.

Dilwale  has opened to a mammoth response of 70 per cent occupancies, even though it's a working day. If ‘Dilwale's' trend continues till evening, it is expected that it will rake around Rs 20 crores in its first day itself.

Well, as far as the early morning shows are concerned, clearly superstar Shah Rukh Khan's magic has worked. His fan following which spans millions has favoured the Rohit Shetty film immensely.
