New Delhi: Actress Deepika Padukone looks up to superstar Shah Rukh Khan since he was the one who mentored her in the industry. But we hear that she just angered Shah Rukh with her actions.
If you are wondering why Deepika would do so, here's the reason. As it happens, Deepika's biggest movie ‘Bajirao Mastani' and Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Dilwale' will clash at the box office. Both the movies are releasing on 18th December this year.
Unfortunate as it is for both the movies, Deepika thought of a way to change it. According to a renowned film critic, Deepika asked SRK to delay the release of the movie. This is how the critic's article read: “Turns out all's not well between a male superstar and a top actress, and it may have something to do with the fact that they have major movies clashing on the same date. According to sources in the film trade, when it became clear that both movies had been scheduled to open the same weekend, the actress reportedly called up the superstar—whom she has worked closely with from the start of her career— and requested him to consider shifting his film's release date. “It's my biggest release, na…” she apparently cooed to the actor.”

Well, though he refrained from using names, we all know that he was clearly talking about Deepika and SRK. On hearing this from her, SRK made a smart move. The story went on to reveal that Shah Rukh said “he'd happily oblige if she was willing to make the same request to him on Twitter or in the press: “Just say ‘We're scared to come on the same day, so please shift your release,' and I will.”
Deepika was caught off guard as she did not expect this from her first hero. Obviously she couldn't admit that she was scared of the clash. Deepika later brushed off the suggestion which apparently pissed off Shah Rukh more.
At a recent interview, when Deepika was asked about this, she plainly denied any knowledge. She said, “I don't know, I am getting to know from you guys. It is not as complicated as it is made to sound or written. It is very simple. The kind of film they are making and we are working on are very different from each other.”
Well, now that the clash seems inevitable, we are eager to know which movie wins the audience's hearts.
