New Delhi: Box Office is going to witness a fierce competition this week as two of the most awaited movies of the year are all set to hit the theatres on December 18.
Yes! We are talking about ‘Dilwale' and ‘Bajirao Mastani'.
Indeed, ‘Bajirao Mastani' starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra will be get a tough competition from ‘Dilwale' starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
A lot has been said and written about the clash of the two films.
While the actors of both ‘Dilwale' and ‘Bajirao Mastani' have always stated that they are not affected by the clash, it seems that things are changing now.
Shah Rukh in a recent media event commented on the clash of ‘Dilwale' and ‘Bajirao Mastani' saying, “The other film (Bajirao Mastani) is also made by friends. Our genre is more family and happy-go-lucky kind. Their genre is niche and historical. For both films, audience will come in at different time and watch it. Both are really nice movies”.
However, SRK's this statement didn't go down well with ‘Bajirao Mastani' actress Deepika Padukone as she slammed King Khan saying, “I wouldn't call Bajirao as niche at all. In fact, one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's strength is, that in a film like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Devdas or Ram Leela, or even Black, he has his way of story-telling and yet he makes his movies globally appealing”.
The actress also added, “I don't know what Shah Rukh meant when he called the film niche, but both are totally different genres. I have worked with both the directors and know what both of them have to offer are very, very different. Even as an audience you won't be able to compare the two, one is action, comedy romance while Bajirao Mastani is completely different”.
While its just two days to go before ‘Diwale' and ‘Bajirao Mastani' hits the theatres, it seems the clash is now somehow bothering the stars. However, only the time will reveal how these two movies will fair at the Box Office and which star will get the maximum love from the audiences.
