New Delhi: Bollywood is known for its infamous catfights and the actresses that can never forgive their rivals. But it seems the latest lot doesn't believe in carrying any baggages. Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut - one of the most sought after beauties in Bollywood have become talk of the town for burying the hatchet.
Yes! While putting all the rumours to rest, Deepika Padukone has extended the olive branch to Kangana Ranaut.
According to reports, Deepika called Kangana to have a nice long chat. While conforming the reports to a leading daily, Kangana said, "Deepika called me, and clarified that she had no personal equation with me to make a direct call. Also I explained to her how it would have been to publicly acknowledge the award from her when I have decided not to attend any awards functions. It was an emotional and heartfelt conversation. I appreciate that she called me; she is truly courteous and very emotional, and I just love that."
The issue started when, Deepika was awarded the Best Best Actor Female Popular Choice for 'Happy New Year' at Life Ok Screen Awards earlier this year. While receiving the award, Deepika had said, "Thank you for this award, but I believe that this year belonged to Kangana. So, Kangana, this one's for you.
Apparently it didn't go down well with Kangana who in an interview, said, "Yes, I heard about that, but I hope someday, she would tell me in person what she feels about my work. I would appreciate that a lot more."
After many other public statements, made by both the actresses, Deepika decided to end the controversy and called Kangana up to clear the air.
For now, it seems both the bombshells have patched up, but let's see for how long!
