Two years after Raaz 3, Vikram Bhatt once again has donned director's hat for a creature-based flick. Of course there must be numerous thoughts going within his wits as to what new could be presented before our horror lovers who have already been served with supernatural flicks before.

So, here he got this world best idea of directing a creature-based flick, which is mostly seen in western cinema, and it couldn't have been an easy task considering it first of its kind in Bollywood which requires too much of technical aspect. And making it without a tangible being is never a cake walk for its actors too since they have to just visualize that this horrifying being is in front of them and they have to react accordingly. It doesn't matter if it's Bollywood or Hollywood, creature based flicks have always required a high level of technical support. And Creature 3D shows efforts of our Indian indigenous technicians but unfortunately it doesn't possesses the flair, which such flicks require.
Watching it in 3D doesn't make any difference, in fact this creature called ‘brahma-rakshasas' doesn't look horrifying enough, who is cursed by Lord Brahma (as shown in the film) and is let free onto this planet Earth.
It's found in the hilly terrains of Summer Hill where Ahana (Bipasha Basu), a young entrepreneur is up with her boutique hotel called ‘Glendale Forest Lodge'. Guests and couples love the new, warm and cosy settings until one day Glendale is hit by an unknown action. Despite the guests are slayed and disappeared, the others just remain clueless over who is behind it. But soon they come across this killer creature and decide to leave the place. Ahana's hotel gets a shut down notice but she decides to pull up her socks and face off the creature in order to save her hotel which was her dream.
A professor of Zoology, Professor Sadana (Mukul Dev) comes to help her since he is aware about this creature, while Kunal (Imran Abbas), one of his first guests and now her lover is too there to stand by her side. So, this army of three is up against this beast.
With due respect to the hard work put before by the technical department who visualized and finally gave the creature an essential horrendous shape through graphics and pictures, Creature 3D couldn't turn out to be a real creature drama and rather remains to be a caricature of such sorts.
You wouldn't get terrified by finally watching this gigantic creature but still get a sense of anxiety by the mystery created around it. Until the being is projected as a terrifying one, the flick sends a shiver down your spines because you paint a picture in your wits after those hints. But just when it is exposed before you, all your excitement is brought down.
The techniques of assassination by this living being too have a dreadful ambiance but only if the victim justifies it by the act since, as said earlier, they have to visualize the creature. Actors struggle to figure out the height and length of the long-tail creature. While one looks at a place, the other looks somewhere else. And we as an audience are left with no option except looking at the exit doors of theatres thereafter.
Another question that quip up in our mind is as to why every time the protagonist analyzing the danger surrounding, in spite of escaping the place is desperate to take that up as a challenge and fight back.
Sorry, but we would have only admired the courage had the antagonist not fought in a filmy way. While throughout, this creature in fraction of seconds just comes and goes hunting down its food in form of humans, his stay and fight patiently in the end is something, which we didn't understand. Also, despite knowing fire torches are a weapon against this creature, why the hell Bipasha forgets to use it in the end?
Vikram Bhatt isn't able to come out of the tried and tested Bollywood formulas for horror flicks and it's sad after watching his most memorable flicks like Raaz and 1920.
Performances however are something which are real. Bipasha Basu who among most of her movies is mostly witnessed in horror dramas has become a master in this genre. She displays that scare expression perfectly while her romance with Imran Abbas is good.
Imran Abbas on the other hand isn't bad at all. A character, which requires showing care towards his love mate and stand by her sight, is justified by Imran.
Zoology professor's character suits on Mukul Dev as he shows the required concern surrounding the people in the deadly area. We would love to see him in better roles.
I'll go with two stars for Creature 3D. This flick could be tolerable only if you are a die-hard fan of horror movies.
