New Delhi: A Delhi court on Thursday reserved order on a bail plea moved by Bollywood movie "Peepli Live" director Mahmood Farooqui, a rape accused.
Additional Sessions Judge Sanjiv Jain set September 2 for delivering its order on the bail plea.
The court also said it would pronounce its order on issue of framing of charge on the same date fixed for the hearing.
The court reserved its order after defence as well as prosecution completed their respective arguments.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police informed the court that the exhibits have been sent to the forensic science laboratory (FSL) for retrieving the data.
The court directed the FSL, Delhi to take this case on priority and submit its report by September 15, observing that victim was a foreign national and her visa is up to October 5.
Last month, Delhi Police charge-sheeted Farooqui under sections dealing with rape and destruction of evidence for allegedly raping a 35-year-old American national.
The victim, who is pursuing Ph.D. from Columbia University, was in India for research work.
Farooqui is in judicial custody since June 20.
