She is just two films old, yet everyone in Bollywood has high expectations from Chitrangadha Singh. She made her debut with Sudhir Mishra's Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and is now back with a vengeance.
“I am looking forward to doing commercial mainstream films. Unlike other heroines I do not have any clauses that mention no kissing, no skin showing in my contract. I will do whatever it takes to play a role convincingly,” she tells DNA matter of factly.
In fact the actor is also open to wearing a bikini on screen and laments that she hasn't got any offers as yet. “I have no hang-ups at all. If the role demands it then why not? But I am very clear that I won't do it for mindless titillation.”
She also wants to shed her serious image and is waiting to do an item number. “Not many know that I am a classical Kathak dancer. I have seen Munni Badnaam Hui a million times on TV and I totally love Malaika Arora Khan in that song.”
Chitrangadha's next release is Sudhir Mishra's Yeh Saali Zindagi with Irrfan Khan. With so many actors taking off to Hollywood to try their luck there, Chitrangadha unflinchingly says, “I have just about started off in Bollywood and I am happy with the kind of work being offered to me. Hollywood is a long way off.”
