New Delhi: The 100 cr isn't an elite club anymore for Chennai Express as the flick as invented a new benchmark of 150 crore. The flick within the first three days of its release has collected 150 crore worldwide.
The Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer has minted Rs. 100.42 crore in India and if we calculate the overseas collection Chennai Express has earned 50.47 crore crossing 150 crore mark during the weekend.
"ChennaiExpress *opening weekend total* in Overseas territory stands at approx. $ 8.25 million [Rs 50.47 cr], which is massive,” Taran tweeted.
The latest figures show the second best non-holiday Monday with Rs 12.62 crore earning after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

“Chennai Express PP 6.75 cr, Fri 33.12 cr, Sat 28.05 cr, Sun 32.50 cr, Mon 12.62 cr. Total 113.04 cr. 2nd biggest non-holiday Mon after YJHD,” tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
