New Delhi: India International Jewellery Week 2014 kick started showing tremendous love for Indian traditional jewels. The day 1 of the popular event remained dedicated to the revival of the core timeless and exclusive Indian marvels in jewellery making.
From tribal, contemporary, regal to chunky, the razzles and dazzles of all kinds of precious and semi precious jewellery spread magnificence on the ramp.
While it was one event that witnessed the charm of many Bollywood divas in attendance, a few glamourous beauties showed their wonders as they walked on the ramp for various jewellery designers.
Dia Mirza, Kalki Koechlin, Chitrangada Singh, Gauahar Khan, Sunny Leone, Lisa Ray, Neha Dhupia are a few gorgeous faces who shined adorning great creations by the designers on the ramp.
Gauahar Khan
Model and actor Gauahar Khan walked the ramp for budding jewellery designer Harshni Jethani at the India International Jewellery Week Monday. It was a part of the Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery and Harshni is a student of the institute. Gauahar wore a white gown and the neckpiece was made up of diamonds and emeralds.
She also wore a head gear made of diamonds.
Chitrangada Singh
Actress Chitrangada Singh was the showstopper for jewellery designer Mouni Aggarwal at the India International Jewellery Week Monday. Chitrangada was dressed like a bride in a bright red and silver lehenga and wore chunky polki, diamond and uncut jewellery.
Her look also consisted of a nose ring.
Kalki Koechlin
Actress Kalki Koechlin walked the ramp for jewellery designer Preeti at the India International Jewellery Week Monday and played a shy girl on stage. Her walk was casual and nothing like one would expect at a fashion show.
Kalki wore a red gown and the jewellery was made up for rubies and emeralds.
Lisa Ray
Lisa Ray was seen on the ramp after a long time as she was the showstopper for renowned jewellery designer Farah Khan. Lisa wore a pink gown and the jewellery consisted of huge emerald earrings and an equally big ring.
Farah is the daughter of yesteryears actor Sanjay Khan and her entire family, including Sanjay, his wife, brother Zayed Khan and sisters Suzanne and Simone was present to encourage her. Farah got a rousing applause from the audience.
Dia Mirza
The actress who is raving the success of her ‘Bobby Jassoos,' walked the ramp here as a showstopper for jewellery designer Shobha Shringar Jewellers. Dia looked nothing but impeccably alluring in an organza-gold lehenga.
She showcased a modern bride with subtle makeup but striking features. Her jewellery was regal and contemporary at both the ends.
Sunny Leone
Indo-Canadian adult-film-star Sunny Leone, who is currently enjoying her Bollywood journey, was the showstopper for jewellery brand ‘Apala by Sumit.' The actress was quite excited to become a “royal tribal queen” on the ramp. The collection was a fusion of tribal and royal styles and as always Sunny looked stunning.
The collection was bold and edgy and was a mix of magnificent royal highness and an enterprising jagged look.
Neha Dhupia
Neha Dhupia walked for jewellery brand Geetanjali Gems on the first day of India International Jewellery Week. Neha looked amazing in a pink lehenga.
She looked like a typical Indian bride with the dupatta on her head. The actress wore a diamond and red ruby neckpiece with matching earrings and a maang tikka.
