New Delhi/Mumbai, Dec 19: The country in boiling over the Gang rape of a young woman in a moving bus in Delhi and even Bollywood has come out with their concern over the victim and protection of the female society.On Tuesday, Samajwadi Party MP and B'wood actor Jaya Bachchan completely broke down in in the upper house of the Parliament while presenting her concern over the matter. Jaya argued for not being allowed to speak over the time limit given as the matter was of a deep concern. Later when allowed the actress said that it's a shame and is shaken by the incident. "I'm very disturbed by the answer of the minister concerned (Home Minister) which is totally incorrect. I want to ask Shindeji, did any body from the government go to meet the girl's family and at least offer them sympathy? Forget the state (government)", said Jaya Bachchan. "I'm basically an artiste. It hurts me when I read reports of rapes taking place almost every day, by fathers, brothers, uncles and cousins. It's a shame. Where is their protection? I personally feel very, very ashamed as I'm not able to do any thing", said Bachchan, as she broke down.Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan says it is "atrocious and unforgivable" and that "even an animal would not behave so"."Wanted to say so much of the day but so disturbed by the gang rape case in Delhi...atrocious and unforgivable," the 70-year-old tweeted."When you speak on an issue they say, you only speak do not do anything... when you do not speak on issue they say you never speak. The fear of system, of order, of conduct guided by justice, is fast disappearing. Is this the freedom that our elders fought for," he added.Bollywood star Salman Khan on Tuesday said rapists should be hanged."In my view, there should be a death sentence for all rapists. Such things have no role in our life. I feel disgusted after hearing such things. For me, this is a third grade crime. I also believe that there should be a norm that if a rapist goes to jail, he should be beaten till death," said the 46-year-old.Salman feels people should have zero tolerance for such crime and that they should try to stop it if they come across any such incident."I think Indian society needs to be 'dabang' (bold) in their approach. I recently read a news where a girl was being molested and people standing nearby were making videos on their phones. This is not the real India and I don't think if such incidents can ever happen in front of my eyes," he added. Anurag Kashyap tweeted: “We need to stop objectifying our women in what we call our second religion, our films and our TV Shows.”Actress Kareena Kapoor said that justice takes too long in our country and it's time to revise our laws."When a incident like this happens we give statements as to what all should be done. But one can't ignore the fact that the justice in our country takes too long. We really need to reassess our laws so that justice happens faster," said Kareena.Actor Huma Qureshi tweeted, “Rape is saying-I can violate u whenever I want. Killing rapists wnt solve nything. Respect women on an everyday basis. Stop nurturing men 2 think they r masters. Its not ok to b rude,uncouth even in seemingly small ways.In dat attitude is d seed of d problem. Hope death sentence is given.”Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur said, “Who allowed this chartered bus in which the girl was gangraped to pick up passengers? Was it licensed to do so?
