New Delhi: The relationship between father-son Boney and Arjun Kapoor has been sour for quite some time but it seems everything is alright now.
Boney Kapoor feels very proud of his son Arjun's accomplishments in his short career.
Arjun Kapoor who is only two years old in Bollywood has achieved a lot in his career. And who else would be more proud of his achievements than his father.
At the launch of a new song from his film ‘Tevar' which stars Arjun, Boney Kapoor had a lot of words of appreciation for his son.
“He is the motivating factor of this film. His discipline is overwhelming. I couldn't ask for a better son than him. I couldn't ask for anything more as a father,” he said.
It is noteworthy that the relationship between Boney and Arjun Kapoor had been sour for a long time. Arjun who was 11 years old when his father divorced his mother to marry Sridevi could not forgive him.
In an interview Arjun Kapoor accepted that he respects Sridevi as an actress but could not accept her as his mother. If the sources are to be believed it was Sridevi who ultimately ended the feud between father and son.
‘Tevar' is being produced by Boney Kapoor and his younger brother Sanjay Kapoor.
The film is a remake of hit Telugu film “Okkadu”. It starred Mahesh Babu and Bhumika Chawla in leading roles and was directed by Gunasekhar.
When asked if working with father was uncomfortable Arjun said, “As far as working with dad is concerned, it has been strangely normal. It's not been overbearing. I have done five films before going with ‘Tevar' and they are confident about my work.”
‘Tevar' directed by Amit Sharma will release on January 9, 2015.
