Mumbai, Feb 12: Bollywood celebrities and singers expressed grief over the sudden demise of legendary singer Whitney Houston, terming it as "a great loss" to the music industry.
Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar and Bipasha Basu took to Twitter to remember the 'I Will Always Love You' singer.
Priyanka, who will be attending the Grammy Awards for the first time tonight, said, "LA bound... The Grammys will be sad... Such a tremendous loss to the world... There can be miracles... When u believe... Somehow u will."
Shah Rukh wrote, "and v waste so much time on inconsequential aspects of life. Criticism, cynicism and voyeuristic. Live your life so you don't miss it. Whitney RIP (sic)," Shah Rukh Khan.
Whitney, 48, was found dead at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles hours before her scheduled appearance at a pre-Grammys dinner.
"Another sad news this morning. Such things make you think how much for granted we take our lives. The loss of one of the greatest voices of all time!! RIP Whitney Houston. I will always love you," posted Akshay Kumar.
Actress Bipasha Basu called Houston "one of the powerful voices" and said, "I will always love you'! Whitney Houston's powerful voice will stay with us forever!"
"Whitney Houston songs 'I will always love you' and 'I wanna dance with somebody ' are two of my all time favourite songs... RIP Whitney Houston," posted Sonam Kapoor.
Singer Sonu Nigam remembered Houston as his inspiration.
"One of my biggest inspirations in diversifying from what I knew as a musician, to what I was destined to become, has left without meeting me. The world will never be the same without her. Whitney Houston, Rest in Peace!," he said.
Sunidhi Chauhan posted, "Can't believe Whitney Houston is gone... Shattered! The loss of one of the greatest voices of all time!!"
