New Delhi: Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra's ‘Daawat-e-Ishq' is just a day away from its release and the two stars are in full swing promoting their flick through ‘Food Yatra' that is taking them to all the prominent cities and helping them explore the mouth-watering cuisines there.
Aditya is enjoying his chef role both on and off screen and we are sure he is going to win hearts all over by serving some of the best dishes in this flick too.
Alike him, numerous other actors in Bollywood too have donned a chef's hat in flicks and served luscious recipes alongside displaying their tempting acts. Here are top ten flicks, which had stars with their ‘hot' and ‘ready to serve' appetizers.
English Vinglish- In a world dominated by English, a housewife Shashi played by Sridevi found solace in her kitchen. With her ‘laddoos' and other cuisines, Shashi ruled over the world that looked down to her for her bad English. Directed by R Balki, ‘English Vinglish' became a slow hit and won Sridevi applause from allover.
Bawaarchi- The late evergreen actress Rajesh Khanna won over the hearts donning a chef's hat in the flick. While he possessed magical skills in the kitchen, the whole sole purpose of his character in the movie was to bring harmony in the dysfunctional household of the Sharmas.
Duplicate- The comedy action had Shah Rukh Khan in a twin role. While one Manu Dada is a bad guy who sneers and snarls and looks menacing, the other one Bablu is good hearted man and a brilliant chef. It's Bablu's chef technique, which wins the heart of the restaurant's banquet manager played by Juhi Chawla.
Cheeni Kum- Big B's love story with half of his age lady played by Tabu had perfect spice in it. Once again directed by R Balki before English Vinglish, the flick portrays the legendary actor as a chef and owner of London's top Indian restaurant, Spice 6 who falls in love with Tabu playing Nina Verma. With Hyderabad's Biryani and the other recipes, humour too found its place in the menu.
Raamji London wale- A Bihari chef's luck, played by R Madhvan, lands him in London. Now how he makes his survival at the British capital through his magical recipes, director Sanjay Dayma Raam narrates an amusing tale in Raamji London wale.
