Raveena Tandon - Benazir Bhutto
Raveena Tandon is soon to join the biopic bandwagon of industry. She is likely to play former Pakistani PM Benazir Bhutto who was assassinated in 2007.
Reportedly, Raveena had a meeting with the scriptwriter regarding the film. The actress has liked the script so much that she is keen to produce the yet-to-be titled project as well.
While Raveena has suggested some changes in the script, she will soon be looking out for a director for the movie.
Aishwarya – Dalbir Kaur (Sarabjit's sister)
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is currently busy with her comeback film ‘Jazbaa' will soon be seen in a biopic directed by Omung Kumar.
Omung Kumar is making a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer from the village located near Indo-Pak border, who was mistaken for an Indian spy, after he crossed over to India from Pakistan in 1990. Sarabjit had succumbed to head injuries which he got when his jail inmates attacked him in May 2013.
While this will be Omung's next project after Mary Kom, he confirmed that Aishwarya will be seen playing Sarabjit's elder sister Dalbir Kaur in the biopic which is titled ‘Sarabjit'.
Sonam Kapoor - Neerja Bhanot
The next name in this list is of Sonam Kapoor who will soon be seen in the biopic on Neerja Bhanot's life.
While the film is titles ‘Neerja', Sonam will be seen playing the role of Neerja itself who lost her life on September 5, 1986, while she was trying to save the lives of passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73.
The film is directed by Ram Madhvani who stated that this is a story that needs to be told with dignity and restraint.
The shooting of the movie has already begun and Shabani Azmi will also be seen in the film, playing a very crucial role alongside Sonam.
