New Delhi: The year 2014 didn't start off well as compared to last year, the box office didn't see a big fat turnaround but with PK hitting the screen in the last part of the quarter the balance sheet looks convincing.
The more was expected from Happy New Year, which at snail's rate just managed to touch the Rs 200 cr mark while Hrithik Roshan's Bang Bang failed to even touch that mark. If such big budgeted movies performed just good, the mediocre budgeted women-centric flicks like Queen and Mary Kom surprised and made into the top ten biggest grossers list of the year.
Here is the list of the top 10 biggest Bollwyood films of 2014:
PK- Aamir Khan's much anticipated comedy-drama "PK" stirred thought and discussion and struck gold at the box office too. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie by its second weekend earned Rs 236.58 cr nett in India and is the biggest grosser of the year while its still counting. The film, which used an alien, played by Aamir, to highlight the ills of society was made at a budget of Rs.110 crore.

Made at a budget of more than Rs.100 crore, the Siddharth Anand directorial was prepared with ingredients like romance, jaw-dropping action sequences, peppy music and good looking actors.
