From actor Arjun Kapoor hosting the event to Bollywood beauty Aishwarya dancing on her songs and superstar Rajnikanth declaring the tournament open, ISL definitely put up a great visual treat for audiences.
The involvement of Bollywood stars to promote different sports and not just cricket has helped these sports reach a wider audience. It started when many teams of the Indian Premier League were owned by Bollywood stars.

Shah Rukh Khan:
King Khan owns the Kolkata Knight Riders team in the IPL. The IPL's most celebrated team, KKR is owned by Shah Rukh and his close friend, actress Juhi Chawla. The team won the IPL two times, in the years 2012 and 2014. The presence of Shah Rukh as an owner has helped KKR gain immense popularity.
John Abraham:
John is a sportsman at heart. He was the Indian brand ambassador for FIFA in the year 2014. John Abraham's love for sports is reflected in his muscular body and the way he always mentions sports at media interactions. He is the co-owner of NorthEast United FC of ISL and also co-owns Delhi Waveriders, a team that represents the state in the Hockey India League. Waveriders won the Hockey India League in 2014.
